Every day, one in five people across Charlotte struggle to access the care they need. Many don’t have health insurance or the financial resources to seek medical treatment. Care Ring’s Physicians Reach Out program provides primary, specialty, and dental care to over 6,000 low-income, uninsured Mecklenburg County residents each year at no charge to the patient --- all thanks to the vision and generosity of our medical community. Last year, $51 million in life-saving, life-changing care was donated.
You can help by volunteering to care for people in need through Physicians Reach Out without leaving your office!
There is no minimum number of patients required
Patients are integrated seamlessly into your existing patient roster
All appointments are conducted in your office
Care Ring conducts an extensive eligibility process and provides education for new PRO patients so they understand the requirements and expectations of the program
Our Case Management team provides wrap-around support for patients who are experiencing other life difficulties that may make complying with treatment difficult, such as language barriers, transportation issues and access to prescription medications
