MATERNAL HEALTH MONTH
Spring
During Maternal Health Month in April, Care Ring raises awareness of the maternal mortality crisis by hosting a Maternal Health Conference for birth workers, a Solidarity Walk & Rally, and a Respectful Maternity Care Simulator, thanks to our community partners and volunteers and our sponsors. PARENTS DAY
Summer
A blend of Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations, Parents Day allows us to honor those we serve in our Maternal-Child Health programs, A Guided Journey and Nurse-Family Partnership. Families are treated to light refreshments, gifts, professional photos with their children, and fun activities. The community is invited to volunteer, provide products, and sponsor this event. HOLIDAY STROLL
Winter
Held in December, the Holiday Stroll is hugely popular with the families we serve in our Maternal-Child Health programs, attracting hundreds of guests. Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, scenic backdrops for photos, refreshments, LOTS of gifts for the adults and kids, raffle giveaways, and more make everyone's spirits bright! CARE RING IN THE COMMUNITY
Care Ring believes that being out in the community and meeting people in the places they live and work is very important. You will frequently find us at health resource fairs and assisting with health services events alongside our many community health partners. We also provide services in the Grier Heights Community every Tuesday via our mobile unit, The Bridge.
