Graham Street this Fall!<\/p>\n\t<p>The event updated the community on our Capital Campaign endeavors to move our organization, in addition to sharing the vision of the new space. Our speakers were: Andrea Wages, Vice Chair of the Care Ring Board of Directors; Tchernavia Montgomery, CEO of Care Ring; Malcom Graham, Charlotte City Councilman; and Dena Diorio, Mecklenburg County Manager.<\/p>\n<p>View their remarks, along with a montage of some of our Board and staff making the first demolition swings in our future home, in the video below. Scroll down for more about the move, and our photo gallery.<\/p>\n\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NUBwSkWieKw?si=1icUrSaJEM0oVosl\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<h2>\n\t\tAbout the move\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Since 1955, Care Ring has been a leader in community health, meeting people where they are to ensure they are able to lead and maintain a healthy life.<\/p>\n<p>Care Ring has been and is continuing to experience significant growth, especially within our Maternal Child Health programs. By FY25 we will serve 1,275 families, which represents a 237% increase over the past five years.<\/p>\n<p>We are the oldest provider of community health services currently not located where those we serve reside. Moving to a new, larger facility located in a corridor of need will enable us to decrease barriers to accessing our programs, serve more individuals, reduce wait times, and be able to adequately house all programs and staff with room to grow. This relocation marks a milestone in our mission to address the healthcare needs of people with limited resources in our community.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/careringnc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/TM-w-UW-and-ANS-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"TM w UW and ANS\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"1611\" width=\"2560\" title=\"TM w UW and ANS\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/careringnc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/TM-hardhat-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"TM hardhat\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"2560\" width=\"1920\" title=\"TM hardhat\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t<p><em>&#8220;Today, on the first day of spring, Care Ring is celebrating a historical milestone &#8211; that of our announced relocation. This fall we will return to where we were birthed 69 years ago, to a new location embedded within a corridor of opportunity, enhancing our ability to serve populations most in need. Steadfast in service during the recent pandemic, we&#8217;ve worked incredibly hard to demonstrate our commitment to our under resourced neighbors with new, expanded, and deepened programming. Last year alone, we removed barriers to access to care for nearly 8,000 individuals across our service lines. To accommodate this growth, 7 months ago, we launched a quiet capital campaign to support our relocation efforts. In that time, we&#8217;ve raised nearly $2.25M &#8211; funds which will be used to renovate our new home, springing forth what we are confident will be an even greater transformation in the years to come.
