Social Innovation in the Nonprofit Sector

We often think of innovation in terms of how a new idea or product will benefit an individual or create a new market.

But what about the power of social innovation, the idea that people come together to advance a new way to improve a community or advance a larger, social goal?

Dr. Jean Wright, Chief Innovation Officer with Carolinas Healthcare System, delivers the keynote speech at this year’s Hope for Community Health annual luncheon on December 12, 2016 on the topic of social innovation in the social sector.

“I can think of no better place in Charlotte to look at social innovation then to look at the work going on at Care Ring,” Dr. Wright suggests.

So what is going on at Care Ring that attracts innovative people and results in marked social improvement? You can check out Dr. Wright’s video here, and if you want to join us December 12th, register here.

Hope you can come out to join us to learn more about Care Ring and how we work to promote, protect, and improve the health and well-being of all in Charlotte.
