Refresh, Renew, Rejuvenate

Welcome to Care Ring’s new website!

Just as we relentlessly seek new ways to empower folks to live healthy lives, we also always look for new ways to share our story of hope and healthy living with the community.

Thus, our new website – refreshed, renewed, and rejuvenated!

As we start our seventh decade of serving folks with limited resources in Charlotte, we are excited to share an updated website that will help you easily explore our key programs, learn about how we are changing lives, and find ways you can join us on our mission to promote, protect, and improve the health and wellbeing of people all across Charlotte.

Care Ring’s impact and our role in serving folks in need is growing:

  • We are adding more nurses so that we can serve more families through the proven poverty-fighting power of Nurse-Family Partnership.
  • We continue to add physicians and dentists interested in volunteering to help those on the margins access high quality health care and establish good health.
  • Our chronic disease management program in our low-cost clinic has seen remarkable growth lately, starting from scratch a few years ago and now serving nearly 800 clients.

People need us for our affordable, accessible, and sometimes life-saving care. But individuals in poverty need much more than just clinical assistance.

We recognize the broader social determinants of health impacting those with limited resources.

So we have established partnerships with other community agencies that can address broader issues of living in poverty, including access to housing subsidies with our partners at Renaissance West Community Initiative, child care subsidies with the Bethlehem Center and Smart Start of Mecklenburg County, access to furniture and additional housing assistance through Crisis Assistance Ministry, and much more.

As you browse through our new website, you will see there are many ways you can join us in this work – as a volunteer, corporate champion, an event organizer, perhaps as an individual donor.

Our upcoming annual Hope for Community Health luncheon is just around the corner on December 12th and is a great way to learn more about our work and impact. Come join 500 of your neighbors to learn more about Care Ring’s mission, and find ways you can be our partner in empowering those with limited resources to establish and maintain good health.

And please keep coming back to visit our blog! In the coming weeks we will begin featuring guest bloggers in this space, and I look forward to continuing to share my thoughts on health and wellness and the future of Charlotte with you here.
