On December 12, 2016, nearly 600 of Charlotte's top healthcare, government, non-profit, and business leaders joined Care Ring for the Hope for Community Health Annual Luncheon at the Westin in uptown Charlotte.
Presented by OrthoCarolina, the event raised a generous amount of money that will support Care Ring's programs: the low-cost clinic, Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP), and Physicians Reach Out (PRO).
"We have an incredibly generous community," said Don Jonas, executive director of Care Ring. Every day community partners, medical professionals and hospital systems step forward to volunteer their talents and care for members of our community in need.
The City of Charlotte also recognized Care Ring's work by proclaiming December 12, 2016 Care Ring’s Hope for Community Health Day.
Attendees mingled with vendors and community partners and then enjoyed an exciting luncheon program. Event highlights included:

Dr. Jean Wright, chief innovation officer at Carolinas Healthcare System, delivering an inspiring keynote address on innovation and healthcare.
