Effective immediately, Care Ring will make temporary changes to our service delivery to continue caring for our neighbors while minimizing the risk to clients, volunteers and staff.
During these rapidly changing and uncertain times, it is our highest priority to keep our community safe while continuing to provide access to much needed services for those most at risk. The barriers for the people we serve are only increasing. Our clients are facing increased risk of exposure and complications from contracting COVID-19 as many have underlying health conditions, such as diabetes, and have the least amount of resources to self-quarantine. It is important for our clients to know that we committed and available to help them.
“While due to the coronavirus outbreak we are temporarily modifying in-person visits to utilize phone and digital connection options, the full range of Care Ring services, resources and referrals remain in place. We are looking at all options to expand our role as a provider and advocate for those with limited resources, especially during these challenging times," said Care Ring's Executive Director, Don Jonas.
To follow recommendations for social distancing, the following service delivery changes are currently in place through March 27, or until further notice:
Operational hours will remain the same for all services. Individuals seeking a consultation with a provider in our Low-Cost Clinic should call the main line below for assistance. Our providers will be available for telephone visits and nurses are available to answer questions. The clinic will also provide telephonic triage for any person for COVID-19 screening and provide appropriate education and referrals for testing. Enrollment for Physicians Reach Out will continue on a limited basis. Nurse-Family Partnership will maintain client visits via phone. Case management will continue to be provided for all clients needing assistance.
