HOB NOB

Bringing stakeholders together

Each year, Care Ring brings together our top supporters from across the private, civic, faith, medical and corporate sectors to "Hob Nob" with us and celebrate the difference they are making in reducing disparities for, and improving the health and vitality of, underserved neighbors in our Charlotte community. At this free, by-invitation-only event, guests are treated to delicious local food and beverages, music, and a program highlighting the work we've been able to accomplish thanks to their contributions.

Hob Nob Invite - Front

This year's event, presented by Novant Health, will take place Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 6-8 pm. The theme is "A Sustainable Future," to reflect how our supporters are enabling us to prepare for and be responsive to the ever-changing healthcare landscape and remain innovators in our delivery of services and in addressing both socioeconomic and racial inequities. The Venue

We've partnered with fellow nonprofit the Innovation Barn at Envision Charlotte in Plaza Midwood, one of Charlotte's leading environmental sustainability organizations. We'll have plenty of room to party in their indoor warehouse space and outdoor firepit area. Guests will be able to take a self-guided tour to learn more about the various projects and initiatives at the Innovation Barn.

We are also working with Envision Charlotte to make this a zero-waste event to minimize our carbon footprint. Like us, they want to create a brighter, healthier future for all.

Transform your Trash

Guests are invited to bring their old (but clean) t-shirts (any condition) and their #5 plastics (check the item for the number) to donate to be upcycled into soundproof mats, dog beds or rugs and into giant, Lego-like "bricks" used in temporary shelters.

DJ Sunday

The Beats

Care Ring's very own Sunday Shobowale, aka "DJ Sunday," who works as a Community Health Worker in outreach and education, will be on the wheels of steel keeping our guests entertained.
